Redmi which is an independent sub-brand of Xiaomi has already launched a few entry-level as well as midrange devices and now it is getting ready to launch its Redmi Y3 smartphone. The same device received Wi-Fi certification last month and now it is also teased by Xiaomi India’s Head Manu Kumar Jain. His tweet revealed many things about the upcoming devices although they were not officially announced.
Manu Kumar tweeted that he has clicked 32 selfies with 32 Xiaomi India colleagues which clearly indicates that the device will be coming with a 32MP selfie snapper while he also quoted saying “Y” am I taking so many selfies which reveals it to be a Y series device. According to the last month’s certification, the smartphone will be running MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie operating system.
Redmi Y3 is set to launch in India on April 24. But just days ahead of its formal debut, the Redmi phone has been teased to come with a 4,000mAh battery. This is notably a significant jump from the 3,080mAh battery featured on the Redmi Y2. Xiaomi has also separately revealed that the Redmi Y3 will sport a gradient back panel with a mix of Blue, Purple, and Yellow colours. The Redmi Y3 is already confirmed to come with a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
